Amyuni Document Converter vs Alpha Five printer

Can someone explain to me the relationship between the Amyuni Document Converter and the Alpha Five printer? I just installed several copies of the runtime v9 on new win 7 64 bit systems. For each I had to separately install the Amyuni Document Converter as administrator using the setting suggested by windows and for each I ran the runtime application for the first time as administrator. In each case the run time app asked to install the Alpha Five printer which I allowed. Printing and saving the pdfs seems to work for all. But when I check the list of installed printers in win 7, I find the Alpha five printer listed for all but one. That one has the Amyuni Document Converter listed as the printer. Does this make sense?

If I'm not mistaken, the Alpha Five Printer only works from within Alpha whereas the Document Converter will work for any output.
